What is sourcing?
Candidate sourcing is the process of finding potential hires for vacancies in the company. This includes finding people, CVs and portfolios at various sources, screening for job compliance, contacting a candidate and planning of subsequent interaction.
Why sourcing is important?
Sourcing is one of the steps in recruiting strategy, which makes it easier to select candidates in the short and long term. The result of sourcing is a list of eligible candidates, with their characteristics, CVs and portfolio. The advantage is that engaged candidates have already passed screening and their data can be used for comparison and invitation for interviews, as well as a reserve for the future hiring needs.

LinkedIn is the most popular business social network and most recruiters use it, since there are a lot of internal opportunities for searching and screening candidates, you can evaluate their expertise and read about their work experience. But it doesn't fit all niches. If you are having difficulty finding the right employees on LinkedIn, try other social networks - setting up targeted advertising will help you filter out the right users and get applications from interested ones.
The most popular sourcing tool, where you can both receive incoming applications and search for candidates yourself. There are a huge number of such resources and it is important to find the ones that fit your niche and needs, as well as regularly monitor the received applications on each platform.
- Events
Career events may not offer you hundreds of interested candidates, but you can personally talk to each applicant and immediately conduct an interview. In addition to sourcing, it also helps to develop the your company positioning and manage your reputation as an employer.
- Networking and referrals
Using your network or community for recruiting is extremely effective, since you can receive the most reliable information about candidates, in addition, you can also attract the network of your acquaintances and increase the pool of potential candidates. For some niches, this is the only possible tool.

Our team used all of the above methods, but we were always interested - how can we optimize the process?
Some solutions automated the addition of candidates to ATS, some suggested searching for certain parameters on several platforms, but most did not fit the niches we needed, search conditions and the number of specialists required. In addition, sometimes it was too expensive and took too long to search.
So we came to the use of prospect lists, which allow us to form a list of hundreds of suitable employees within a few days. We used premium databases for this, as we do for the sales department. When selecting candidates, we used more than 20 filters and formed a list of suitable ones.
Then the list is ready all you have to do is to launch Email or LinkedIn outreach - that's it! Sourcing has never been so quick and easy.
We want to share this solution with all HRs, so we give 100 candidates for free - you can get it here.
